Hi Serene, U can get quality s'pore equities with 6 % yield plus capital gains. Unless the investment is purely for some diversification, its all right to invest some funds into it. Some tax question on HDB rental

Hi Dennis,

My friend plans to rent out her room from her HDB flat. If she collects rental,
is it required of her to pay tax in her IRAS? Can she deduct interest payment for her flat, fire insurance, PUB bill, S & C charges etc? Thanks :D
