Thank you for sharing your knowledge & thoughts with the forumers.
Could you share with us on what kind of assets do you invest & in what percentage of your total worth? Do you actually use financial leverage in your investment?
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience. I have set as a personal mission to help raise level of Financial Literacy in Singapore and beyond. That's why we set up this forum. I'm also active in other internet forums; spoke 2 years on Radio; conducted many, many public talks; wrote more than 60 articles for newspapers and magazines as part of my contribution in this area.

I do not use financial leverage in my investments, if we exclude my Housing Loan which I don't treat the house I'm staying in as an investment. I deem a house we stay in as a "Personal Use Asset".
the cheapest form of leverage available to everyone is Housing Loan. And in my opinion, it does not make sense to be in a hurry to pay off one's Housing Loan.
My personal investments:
If I exclude my house, everything else I have is either in cash or invested.
Recently, I took profit on 40% of my stock portfolio and now has about 60% of my other assets in cash. I'm not in a hurry to deploy this cash as I think the stock market would remain volatile and going nowhere for the time being.
My other investments include Land Banking and Traded Endowments, Fixed-deposit-like Insurance plans and Unit Trust.
One of the rule of thumb I have is not to put more than 10% of my investible funds in a single stock and never to put more than 30% of my investible fund in a single investment.
You can email to me at dennis@leverageholdings.com for any clarification or discussion.
Cheers!
