An Effective Wealth Creation Strategy I Learned...

Post by Dennis Ng »

I remember long ago, I once went to a Antique shop.

As I was walking out of the Antique shop, I noticed the shop has a sign that says:"We Buy Junk. We Sell Antiques."

One simple strategy to Wealth is simply this:

Buying what seem like junk to most people (while you see them as unpolished gems) and sell them when others see these as Sparkling Gems, while to you, they are just "Goods", purely purchased at a lower price with a view to sell when prices are attractive (high) enough.

With this mentality, you sold them to the Delighted Buyers (Win/Win, since both seller (yourself) and the buyer are Happy with the transaction). The buyer is delighted to buy a Sparkling Gem from you, while you're happy making a satisfactory return on your investment.

Thus, one important "mindset" a successful investor needs to have is to learn to be emotionally detached from one's investments. Otherwise, even when the price is High, one might still be unwilling to let go (sell) becos of sentimental reasons.

I sold most of my stocks last year when prices were higher. The stocks I hold currently are mainly "Free" stocks. ie. I've long taken back all my initial capital investing in them.
Cheers!
