I am not sure when I shall recover the losses and will my passion to keep acquiring the knowledge continue if I still have
not recovered. It is not easy for people who has fixed expenses monthly basing on a fixed monthly salary and not much opportunity fund. But I know we must believe we can fly! At times is ver contradicting.
It is a norm. In fact, it is good. Because, you will reflect of why you made losses. No teacher will want to see that their student cannot make it.

You will get better as you keep on trading. Don't take it too hard on the losses if you do. Let it go and look for new opportunity. If opportunity fund is a concern, trade it on paper seriously as though you are using your own money and review along the way.

Thanks a.m. Have not lost sleep over the losses yet. Understanding company strength still fine. TA is like rocket science to me, still trying very hard to appreciate it though those careful charts contributed by members looks interesting. Will try best to continue

Hi Dennis,

Try to spend more time with your sons. Once they go to Secondary, then they have a lot of school work, spending a lot of time on the internet, with their friends.

I experienced the same thing. I remembered the last time I went out with my son to the cinema was when he was in primary 6.

So, we need to build up strong bonds with our children when they are young.

I know that you spend a lot of time teaching us during the weekends. I am sure all your students appreciate your sacrifice.

I am sure you can balance your family life and work life as you are a boss. We do not want you to "burn out". When you family relationship is strong, you will have boundless energy to achieve your mission of educating your students !

I am a graduate in accounting like you. I have 2 kids - my son is 27 years and my daughter 14 years.

I am not financially free yet. But I hope to be.

Thanks you !

Black dog is right!

Those who are not in for a quick windfall from the stock market and a quick fix to be a millionaire will definitely appreciate why you are doing what you are doing. Selfless sharing.

But at times you must understand, not many are patient with the process.
This educational process is a journey. The moment people can earn quick bucks from other means they may not appreciate your way. Only when they get burn then perhaps they will revisit what you have thought.

Spending that bonding time with your boy is of utmost important. It is important to create the invaluable memory of togetherness. Have a wonderful October or November or December holiday with him. It may not be a long one, the little short ones are good too. I believe these three months are crucial. But of course you could be blessed with a kid who completely understand why you are doing all these. You know the answer as every family is structured and wired differently!

All the best to your son in the PSLE.

We believe your passion in what you have started will not disappear. With the world so much connected, even if you are away you can still log into the Net to share your passion on the various topics.

我为人人,人人为我

I was awakened in 2007, during one of my scuba diving trip, where I almost lost my life. It was a miracle that I survived. I am now living a second life, which I am truly grateful for, and since I have been reaching out to people with this message, "Do what you LOVE before your time is up"!

When I got back to my desk, words just come into me just like what Dennis has experienced. I kept writing for days non-stop, and soon they could be compiled into a book.

Then in 2008 when I met Dennis and Kok Hwa (Dennis's publisher of his 2 books), they inspired me to step up and publish my content. Somehow, something wasn't complete.

In 2009, there came a major setback for me. It was through this incident that enlightened me about what is Unconditional Love, Selfless Love, and I learnt how to control and overcome those painful emotions in less than 2 weeks. Yes, I believe all these does not happen by accident. They happened for a reason, and I now understand why.

Because of all these events of my life, I could now write a book that is more complete, and it is something that I can pass down to the future generations of humanity.

I learnt so much within a short span of 2 years, and these experiences are really what money cannot buy. If I have lost my life in 2007, no amount of money could ever buy it back.

Importantly, at the Graduates' Gathering, I shared about the truth which I also shared in the following posting:
Ice-Man88 wrote:Hi Dennis sifu and friends,

If we look at the straits times, eg Israel had massive protest of 300k to 400k recently. In fact inflation and rich poor disparity has been reported many times if one bother to observe. To me, if Israel a country of smart people with high literacy rates and entrepreneurial drive has massive protect, this signals something.

From last year Greece street protest (actually is rioting but media likes to sugarcoat things as RIOT is defined as A violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd whereas PROTEST is defines as Express an objection to what someone has said or done) Not sure how many people notice this but eagle eye readers and keen listeners will have discern the truth :)

The Arab spring revolution was spark by too high cost of food prices that people can no longer take it any further.

In fact what we are facing is no longer a recession but GLOBAL DEPRESSION. Wikipedia defines it as In economics, a depression is a sustained, long-term downturn in economic activity in one or more economies. Currently we have major econs like USA, Europe & Japan facing recession that is why we are having depression.

Guess what happens after depression? Usually it leads to World Wars :(
Hi Ice-Man88,

yes, these are just the beginning. By year 2012, many more countries will have social unrest, many countries' governments will be toppled.

Depression is NOT so scary, what we are likely to face is Stagflation.

Depression is no growth with falling prices. Stagflation is no growth with rising prices.

Imagine people are unemployed yet prices go up for rice and other necessities, this is what is going to happen in year 2012...in year 2008, we didn't have problem of inflation.

Yes, I have already mentioned a few times that throughout history, when financial crisis not solved, it lead to World War.

The problem is this round, I think if lead to War, it may be doomsday for Earth.

What is the solution to Financial Crisis?

For that, we need to understand the Cause of Financial Crisis?

The cause is Greed - selfishness - self love.

So the solution need to be the Opposite, the Opposite of selfishness is selflessness. The opposite of self love is selfless Love.

The world need to have a 180 degree transformation to have a chance of solving the coming Crisis, we are facing 2 Crisis:

1. Global Financial Crisis
2. Global Climate Crisis.

Both need Selfless Love to solve the problem. It is clear what to do and what not to do if one no longer just think of oneself but think for the entire humanity instead.

For instance, by thinking this way, one would stop deforestation, one would stop polluting the world's seas and rivers, one would stop trying to make money at clients' expense (Goldman Sachs in year 2008 was short selling CDOs, while they are selling CDOs to clients).

The world needs this awakening soon, and this forum and all our seminar graduates can start to be awakened first, then we change our Thoughts, Beliefs and Actions, to influence our families, friends, colleagues. I'm already starting to do this, I hope this is clear for all to see.

But ALL seminar graduates need to do your part as well, change your Thoughts, Beliefs and Actions from selfishness to selflessness, and by doing so, we can influence our relatives, friends and colleagues...in turn, they can influence and change their relatives, friends and colleagues...

We start to change the world by changing ourselves first. Don't ask would everyone change, ask would you change? We cannot control what others think or do, we can only control what we think and do.

I'm NOT sharing my theory or opinion. As I mentioned I know that I know and I know I'm just sharing the truth.

Do NOT let my identity (some see me as only Financial Expert) hinder you from Learning this message. Time is indeed running out before the next Crisis hits.

There are no accidents.

There are no accidents why I know these are Truths. There are no accidents why I learn all these Truths. There are no accidents why you attend my seminars.

There are no accidents why you visit this forum and read this message.

You have a choice to ignore this message or you can also choose to Grasp the Message fully and begin to change your Thoughts, Beliefs and Actions.

The formula for wealth is the number of people we serve x value add we provide.

You can see this is the Real and True formula for Wealth. You can try to poke holes, but there are NO holes to poke in this Truth.

And you can see in this Truth that to become Wealthier, one does NOT need to be selfish, in fact, the whole formula focus on others (the entire formula is Selfless, the focus on serving others, not ourselves).

So if this is the True Formula for Wealth and now I share that the True Formula for the Universe is Selfless Love, then it does make perfect sense, doesn't it?

Do NOT doubt what I share, as I mentioned that I know that I know that this is The Truth that I'm sharing, it is NOT my theory, I'm not so smart to come out such theories, I'm just like Newton who discovered Gravity, Newton didn't create Gravity or invent Gravity, he merely discovered it.

I discovered this Truth, but this Truth has LONG been discovered and I'm certainly not the first one, just one of many.
Cheers!

thanks for the concern.

Since year 2009 I have this awakening, that we live on this earth is NOT for ourselves or our family, we are a function of the Universe (as Buckminster Fuller said), so we should live for all of humanity.

Even if my son misunderstand me in anyway, one day, when the time is Right, he will understand. In the meantime, I can only share with him that I do love him but not that I don't want to help him, I really don't know how to do the PSLE Maths or Science questions. I sometimes do try to help him in Chinese and English whenever I can.

I also tell him that I am a teacher, but becos I teach adults, who need to work on weekdays, I can only teach them on weekends.

So far both my children seem to be able to understand. Of course, it is a FACT that whatever time I lost with them can NEVER be regained.

As I said, it is a Conscious Decision I make, becos I decide NOT to live for myself or my family anymore. I do not need anyone to believe what I say, becos whatever people believe or whatever opinions they may have, do NOT change the Truth. And I know what I say is the Truth.

Yes, as I learned from the book entitled "Your Greatest Power", our greatest power is our Power of Choice, and it is a Conscious Decision and Sacrifice I've made.
Cheers!

Hi all,
what's the BEST thing about learning how to invest?

Making money? No doubt, if you learn how to invest, you will make money. I know you will, becos I reached my first million from investing into stocks and property.

Real Investors get richer becos of the Upside/Downside Analysis we use.

But the best thing about learning how to invest is NOT money, it is the personal development, the self-improvement that will happen, it's the BETTER Person that you'll become in the Process.

The Steps to Success is Be Do Have.

Many people want to Have Millions of dollars. They don't realise that this is the Results (Fruits), the Reaping.

First, you need to have the Cause, (Seeds), the Sowing. And that is you must Be an Investor, who learn how to Invest, how to analyse, how to use simple investment rules such as Upside/Downside analysis, learn to BE responsible for your own investment decisions, learn Money and Risk Management and Learn to Control your own emotions in investing.

Then you need to take actions (DO), review the results, find out and learn from your mistakes, learn, un-learn, re-learn to BEcome even better...(better to control your emotions, better in making decisions)...

And before you know it, you reached your First Million Dollars. You don't really have to worry, the Money (Results) will come when you have the Right Mindset and do the Right Things ie. Be and Do...

The Have will come.

You must believe. Promise me, you'll leave (I repeat the same words the Master Oogway said in the Movie "Kungfu Panda") to EMPHASIZE the importance of BELIEF.

I have never seen anyone who become a Millionaire who did NOT believe 100% he/she can become a Millionaire.
Dennis Ng wrote:It is simply amazing how much Wisdom one can learn from a "Cartoon Movie" - Kung Fu Panda.

Just in case you missed the movie, here's the part when he delivered his Final lessons to his leading disciple for the last time just before he dies...

Master Oogway said:"There is Just news, there's No good news or bad."

Master Oogway or Uguay said in the Movie "Kung Fu Panda 1": there are NO accidents. Just in case you missed the movie, here's the part when he delivered this lesson to his leading disciple just before he dies...

Master Oogway also says "you need to let go the illustion of control."....

How? How? His disciple asked. Master Oogway says, you don't need to know how, you just need to believe...

You just need to believe and you will achieve. Promise me you will believe. You must Believe..

Watch and re-watch this. You might thank me for sharing this. There are no accidents, including why you attended my Seminars or why I appeared in your life.

Hi Dennis,

Thank you so much for sharing all these truths with us repeatedly, they make this forum even more meaningful.

I personally have the same views as you, selfless love or 无私的爱能让世界不一样.

And I also believe that what you said about there being no accidents - whatever happens happens for a reason, and if you are humble and are willing to change, it actually makes you a better person.

Really hope that many people can realise these truths sooner.

Best,
Karen

Hi Karen,
yup, I realised that these are Truths.

Let's do our part to help spread the message and influence our relatives and friends...time is running out...for both the Global Financial Crisis and the Global Climate Crisis...

no worries, danielcheng,

I'm NOT the dad in this song.

I do make up time with my children.

In their recent 1 week holiday, I was with them all days from Mondays to Fridays, eating fast food with them, playing WII games with them and also supervising their school work.

But it is a conscious decision for me to sacrifice my weekends to teach. Of course, the weekends gone can never be brought back again, but if I don't do it, who is going to do (teach) what I teach?

I don't think any of the seminar speakers teach what I teach.

As I said, from year 2009 onwards, I NO longer live for myself nor my family, only want to live for the society. It is difficult or even impossible for some to understand why I do this or why I make this choice.

Some might even disbelieve what I say, but whether anyone believe or not, does it change anything? No. Truth is Truth.

Since this year, everyday I spend 3 to 5 hours daily to share on this forum and the facebook. Why? Again, it is a Conscious Choice, you think I have NOTHING else to do? I make time to do this everyday.

To most people, they themselves or their family is the most important, to me, it is the society that is most important, since year 2009 onwards. I have lived 40 years for myself and my family before that.

Cheers!

Hi Dennis,

dont mind if you can share how you brought up your kids? what kind of expectation you have on them and do you pressurise them to get good results in order to get into good school?

thanks.
