North, South Korea exchange artillery fire

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) — North and South Korea both reportedly exchanged artillery fire Tuesday at a South Korean island near the two sides’ western border.

Reports from the region said the North launched dozens of rounds at the island, identified as South Korea’s Yeonpyeong island. Several reports cited unnamed South Korean officials as saying Southern forces then fired back.

The North Korean shells set some structures on the island on fire, according to a Wall Street Journal account, while Reuters reported that the shelling was continuing, and several houses had collapsed.

Reuters also said that the South Korean military had gone on its highest level of peacetime alert.

South Korea was checking on the safety of its nationals currently in the North, with a Unification Ministry official saying the government would soon decide on whether to evacuate them, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.

The exchange followed claims by North Korea that it has opened an advanced uranium-enrichment facility.

Hi Daringd,

I just get the price of those stock from the yesterday closing price, did not do any chart analysis. The reason why I say to take note of those price because yesterday most of short term trader or people with weak holding power sell in panic. So most of the stock take a big hit. You can tell what are the lowest price that people willing to sell the stock. So you be able to know that will be the support level price for that stock at this time unless more bad news come into the market.
