Our Discussion Forum is taking action against spam posting

Hi everyone,

the Internet can be a good thing when put to good use (eg. we use it to educate the public on Financial Information. However, it can also be a bad thing when people abuse the power.

We have set up this forum to provide a Simple and Easy way for members of the public to post questions relating to Personal Finance to be answered by Dennis Ng, a Certified Financial Planner who has been sought after for comments on Radio and in various Newspapers and magazines.

However, in recent weeks, our forum faces "spam posting" from U.S.A where they use "advanced technology" to make random postings all over the world on things such as viagra, xxx-rated blogs etc.

In order to protect the "integrity" of our Internet Forum, in the meantime, we have decided to restrict postings only by "genuine" users.

If you want to make a posting, please email to info@HousingLoanSG.com with the following:

1. your username
2. the topic you want to post under eg. Housing Loan.

(you don't need to reveal your name and other details at all).

We'll then "activate" the forum for you to make postings.

We know the above would post slight inconvenience to you and also to us to administer it. However, in the absence of an effective method to "deter" spam postings, we have come up with this not-so-perfect solution.

Please be assured that we are committed to providing you and the general public with a Simple and Easy way to get ALL your questions on Personal Finance answered on a no-obligation basis (you don't even have to be our client to have access to this service).
