thank you all of you. Thank you all of you who have posted, and many more I know are silently supporting...today a graduate Jason New called me and spoke words of encouragement to me...he said his wife wanted to call as well, but at a loss of what to say to me...got him to call instead...

There are others who sent me emails privately, with the same message, asking me to take care, take a rest if necessary, but sincerely hope I do not give up sharing/teaching...

As you might know, I'm a very straight forward guy, I don't know how to hide my feelings, so last night, when I was feeling down and when the words of my "sifu" echoed in my mind, I just wrote down what I was feeling then...

Well, it shows that I'm human too. I can feel down as well, I can feel discouraged as well, I can feel so "mentally tired" that I can be on the verge of giving up as well. I'm sure you have had similar experience before, it may be regarding a different matter or issue though.

However, how can I give up when now you've shown to me that though many might not take action or be ready to learn, ALL of you have taken Action to be on the journey to Financial Freedom, and I've promised that I'll be there to guide and support you along the way, so how can I forsake all of you?

I remembered when I met Alvin Chow in Dec 2008 for the first time, I said to him:"when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." So now it's ironical that Alvin has to remind me this quote today...yes, some of these students may not be ready now, but one day they will, and so will they appear.

And as I said, whenever I'm feeling down, I'll play these 2 songs repeatedly:"I believe I can Fly" and "When You Believe"....and now it is ironical that another graduate Kelly reminds me of the lyrics of the song..."I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky, I think about it every night and day..."

So I remember the lyrics of the other song "When you believe"....

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe...

With all your words as "fuel", I think even rockets can be launched, I found my strength to carry on in all of you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So no matter what setbacks you face in life, no matter how much you feel like giving up, please realise that you're not the only one who feel this sometimes...even Dennis is NOT upbeat all the time, he can feel down just like all of you, what's Crucial is that so far I have not given up...so I hope anyone feel like giving up on something you Believe in and want to Achieve, can have the courage to carry on.

It reminds me of what Winston Churchill said:"Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never give up."
Hi Dennis

I had to confess that i did not sign up immediately on the night of the free workshop last yr. I believe i am like one of the many who would also want to compare the many workshops/seminar available out there.

After attending other free workshops, i can felt the sincerity of you of wanting the average ppl like us to gain financial freedom. Hence, i signed up for the 12th and 13th March 2011 "Secrets to making money in stocks".

I hv lost lost of $ in the stock market and lost confidence too until i attended your workshop.

It has also become my must do daily activities to log on to your forum for yours and other graduates sharing.

I too so looking forward to the two seminars that i signed up.

So pls do not be discouraged.

Hi patng8,

I can personally vouch for Dennis workshop that you can be sure its worth the value!

I believe you know how expensive it is to attend the rest of the investment workshop yet you don't learn much. Worst still, they will even try to sell you more advance course and investment tools!

For Dennis investment workshop you only paid once yet get a free life time coaching in this forum as well as all the invaluable information and knowledge we shared with one another.

Most importantly, Dennis sifu really put in his effort to guide you to make sure you know how to fish on your own!

Like you, I have lost lots of money before put now learning to fish on my own

Hi Dennis,

Just saw this posting. I'm not very good at expressing my feelings like the others, but I feel I should show my support. Personally, I think you've done a fantastic job. If not for your seminars, I will not be investing like what I do today and would most probably panic like hell for the past few weeks during the corrections, making all sorts of wrong decisions.

Don't be discouraged by the "below expectation" response during your free seminar preview. The problem isn't you. It's human nature. I remember a saying:
"If you throw a frog into hot water, it would jump right out. But if you boil a frog slowly in normal water, it will die and be cooked in it." This is the same phenomenon you're seeing with those ppl that don't take action on their own finance. They are not doing exactly great, but they can manage, at least for now. Therefore, they have the luxury to doubt and prograstinate, without knowing they are "killing" themselves slowly, like the frogs.

Not many ppl have the same sense of urgency that they have to take charge of their finance. Most still choose to let nature take its course and hope for the best because the truth is just too hard to handle. One personal experience to share...After attending your course last Sept till now, I've share it with at least 10 ppl on how good your course is and I've already made back much more than I pay, from the stocks mentioned in the course. You know what, they were amazed and envious. But when I invited them to attend your course, most of them backed out with different kind of excuses. What I observed is that they are afraid...many knows that they need to plan and do something for their retirement but few really do it, because they are afraid. They are afraid to really see the truth of their current financial situation, afraid of the hard work, afraid to get out of their comfort zone and regular routine, afraid of what if they fail, etc. Because of that, they will find excuses for themselves to reject or prograstinate, even if they know your course is good. It just take courage to change and most ppl dont have it or have yet to find it. So to complete my story, I finally able to convince only 2 to attemd your course. One is my wife and the other is my younger brother (whom I even have to pay for his course fee).

So to conclude: Your dream and task here is an uphill battle. It is not that you're not appreciated nor ppl don't believe in you or your teachings. It is just that what you're asking from these ppl are for them to face one of their greatest personal fear and conqure it. It's definately not easy, sometimes impossible. That's why the more I respect your mission and dream. So please dont be disappointed nor despair. Think about it that you've already helped >1500 ppl face and conqure their fear. That alone, to me, is already remarkable. So hang in there...dont give up...ur effort is and will be always appreciated by ur graduates like us...and many more to come...
Cheers!!!

thank you everyone for your "fuel". I think you've given me so much fuel that we can even launch a Rocket into space! haha.

I really want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for letting me know that I do not walk this journey alone. So on my part, I'll also fulfill my promise to you that I'll be here to guide you in your Journey to Financial Freedom.

"I'll be there" for you, for all of you.

I also hope more graduates can come forward to participate in the forum, be it asking questions, contributing thoughts, comments, views or opinions; sharing news and articles...

Many hands make the work lighter, and from my own experience, the more you share, the more you learn. So start sharing now.

And now other than the 2 songs "When you Believe" and "I believe I can fly" to boost me whenever I feel discouraged, I have all your words, to boost me up as well. Thank you.

Cheers!

Hi Dennis.. Hope by now you are well aware that what u are doing now is NOT "a waste of time" ... I may not post a lot lately due to my busy work, but I do log in to the forum everyday without fail.. Reading every single post in the forum.. This forum has become a part of my life for some time now..

Pls look back last year when the forum just started.. Only a few of us are posting actively and most of the time you are the only one doing the posting (I guess back then most of us are afraid to post due to our limited knowledge and scared to get scolding from u when we asked for "fish" question hahaha).. Now this forum is so lively and full of important news and views by many graduates.. I think u should be very proud of this achievement!!

Without your continous guidance and this forum, I'm sure many of us including myself would have given up on the market due to the volatiity of the last 2 months. You have in fact made a huge difference to many of us including myself.. Whenever u feel down, look back and think of your previous graduates who have made huge progress and have managed to transform their lives (financially and mindset).. And be very proud of what you have done! Cos I don't think any other person would have done a better job than what u already have done..

Hi Stradinz,
thanks. Yes, now I realised whatever I did is not in vain.

And yes, this forum is getting more interesting and active...nowadays, it is often that questions asked by someone is very well answered by another Seminar Graduate that sometimes I just really have nothing else to add, which makes me so happy to see how graduates have increased their knowledge and confidence.

Please try to contribute more, as I'm sure many would agree they benefit from your sharing as well. It does NOT take much time, perhaps just 15 mins of your time?
Cheers!

Me too did not take immediate action to sign up after your preview in Jan2011. However, I left the preview with sense of hope and encouragment. I went to your web site and listen to your current and previous talks. It make lots of sense to me. Hence there I am in your 12-13 Mar2011 class. I am glad to be there to learn from you.

Looking forward to attend the "Secrets to Make Money in Property" and "How to Save & Accumulate $1M" in May2011.

Hi Dennis,

Like others, I'd like to give you my full support on your vision educating public on Financial Literacy.

One of the many reasons other than those I have mentioned in other posting, during MC-ing in your workshop, or personally with you; why you are the Master I've been looking for are these past emails from you sent to your mailing list.

See the link of those emails (I printed them into PDF files) here https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B3bkFz ... YTFl&hl=en

I managed to obtain the earliest emails from 2006.

Honestly, I did not follow fully what you were trying to share in those emails...
I just remember that, I knew you since 2002 (but of course you did not know me) when you conducted a Cash Flow game.
Then I lived my life, working hard, got married in 2003, working hard again.
I did learn my own stock investment starting from 2002, make some, lost a lot... Then I shy-away from the market until 2007. I learnt more technical analysis, then attended a TA workshop which cost me $4000 for 5 days in a row, 7pm to 11pm. Then in the middle of 2007 I started "investing" again in stock market... "confidently" I borrow money from Cash-Line $15K...
However, in short... I lost money again...

On and off I did trading from 2008 to early 2009 using TA only.
But again.. I lost.

Then in 2009 I got your email that you have "How To Accumulate and Save $1 Million" workshop, which cost only $98.
I think why not? So I Attended. It somehow opened my eyes more on Financial Literacy. Afterward you offered 3-Day "Stock and Property" workshop, for only $698!!! However, somehow for many reasons that I believe similar to those who shy away to invest in themselves...

Then in 2010 after joining you as Wealth Educator in June 2010, I learn much more from you... But alas... I attended your Stock and Property only in Sep and Oct 2010.

In the past few weeks, it just happened that I was cleaning up my emails in Yahoo account then I saw your past emails, because I gave my Yahoo account when I attended your Cash Flow Game (I switched to gmail around 2005.)

I read those emails. These emails shows your passion, your willingness, your consistency, your integrity, you honesty, your sincerity, in sharing and educating public.

I also show two emails showing my registration for $1M workshop, and the offer of 3-day Stock/Property workshops sent by Dennis. It was only $798!!
Like anybody else, I wish I attended earlier make profit earlier in the stock market, and of course that I could pay much lower investment in your seminar :-D; I paid higher in 2010 ($1,796 about another $1,000 more!).
Now, of course your seminar fees are now even higher in 2011 (inflation :-)).
But, again there is a valid reason why you increased this.
Some people think and said $1,796 for the seminars is cheap! It could not be good! So, now it's $1,996. Some people may think it's still cheap and no good! Maybe we should really make it $3,000 or even more to convince those people!
(I might have had a thought that $798 was cheap, so it's no good, ha ha ha, so I did not enroll)

I guess, it's like in the stock market, when everything is already expensive, then they are willing to part with their money to "invest" without knowing clearly the upside and downside. For your seminars, the DOWNSIDE is quite clear! The UPSIDE is actually UNLIMITED!

Ah sorry, diverted, anyway, you can check the email dates say against STI chart to see some of Dennis comments related to the market conditions.
You can see how his comments make sense, have integrity and convictions.

Dennis... With the supports surrounding you by the graduates, I believe your vision in educating more people can come true.
Cheers!

Hi yhendra,
thank you so much.

Do you know that I personally lost all these emails I sent then? I only started archiving my emails sent out since Aug 2008.

So you really have no idea how delighted I am to know I can still access these emails now.

thanks a million.

Hi, Dennis,
I just back from Malaysia for ChinMing pray.

After settle down, my first thing is log into this forum, i am quite surprice to read your posting on this issue.

I am appreciate what have been learn from you, i have shared it to my family members and my friends, i believe they are benefited, and they will appreciate me. I told them, i learn from you, i ask them to read what you written on MyPaper every alternate Wed, also i ask them to read yr book and listen to you on radio.

On this issue, my personal thinking is you are over concern and eager to achieve target of lead 10k people to financial freedom in 5yr time and eventually meet 1mil people to be FF. you have the strong feeling like a typical Sifu : 恨铁不成钢, or 师欲教而子不学.

On the another hand, i think you should appreciated that your result is not bad at all, at least 10% want to learn from you. When you post yr feeling on this forum, at least >2% ( i counted 35 reply include myself, one of us is 1st time posting and few of us is very seldom post) of the graduate is concern and worry unable to further learn from you.

I do attend some of the FREE seminar related to investment and parenting but most of the time, i also never take further actions after the talk. I wonder they also have the same feeling as you??
Either i should not attend any more seminar if i do not prepare to take further action? or die die i must take out further action even i felt it may not suitable to me in order not to dispointed the teacher?

I think recently market correction have cause some retain investor burnt their hand or body, they come to attend yr seminar hopeful they can have quick fit "koyuo" but the fact is you are not the margician. So, percentage reduce on take out yr further seminar is perfectly normal, It is just inline with market movement. That also explained why 90% to 95% of normal people is making loss in stock investment. Perfectly, they are just normal people, if you read HU LI YANG 100way on Stock investment, the 1st way is only those not follow normal way can win in stock market.

To increase the rate of attending yr seminar so that to hit 10K people be FF, i have a better suggestion, when market is HOT, you can consider to have a free talk 2~3time a wk, collect the attendance list but schedule will be staggle to the available slot. Then, more people will rush to register because they worry their turn will be lagging behind. This is normal people thinking.

cheers

On this issue, my personal thinking is you are over concern and eager to achieve target of lead 10k people to financial freedom in 5yr time and eventually meet 1mil people to be FF. you have the strong feeling like a typical Sifu : 恨铁不成钢, or 师欲教而子不学.

cheers

thanks ctsan1. You hit the nail on its head, this is how I feel: 师欲教而子不学

No worries, I'm now fully re-charged. :D
Cheers!

Dennis shifu, I'm so happy that you are recharged! As mentioned in my Facebook post, you'll never walk alone with us behind you. Whenever u feel tired or down, tell us and we'll fuel you to the outer space again!

I know one thing is for sure. The learning with you is a lifelong journey and not just some classes you pay to attend and forget subsequently. Whenever we have questions, we can post in the forum and u will be there to share with us your advice and opinion selflessly.

When it comes to money and finance, you are the only genuine teacher that I know and I'm extremely grateful for that.

师父加油!!
