Learn to fish for stocks

Post by patng8 »

Hi Dennis Sifu/Senior members

I am aware that after attended Dennis' seminar, it is best that we learn how to fish ourself.

However, may i know that there are so many stocks out there, how then do we get started to find out which stock is good to start our TA n FA?

Sorry for my silly question n appreciate your valuable feedack and experience.

Hi Patng8,
One simple way is to Buy the shareinvestment hard copy book (published once a week) at S$6, I think. Then you can go through the book where in the front section they have listed stocks with highest dividend yield, lowest PE, etc

Next, pay S$13 per month to subscribe to Standard package for shareinvestor.com

From the stocks in shareinvestment hard copy book, you can then go to the "Fact Sheet" of those specific stocks in shareinvestor.com, to go through the information according to what is being taught in the Seminar, to "fish" for stocks yourself.

It takes some effort or time to do such homework. But I reached Millionaire status through doing such homework, so it is really up to you, whether you want to do such homework or not.

Next, after analysing the stock, post your comments in the forum under "Discussing Specific Stocks", so that others (including fellow seminar graduates and myself) will share with you our views and comments.

Once again, I like to emphasize there is NO silly question. It is only silly if you have a question and do NOT ask.
Cheers!

I think Dennis mentioned there are over 800 stocks to choose from. Perhaps one good way is to look at the some of the companies from industries you are interested in.

For e.g I notice there are lots of property related stocks and finance stocks mentioned in this forum. It seem to me that these are the favorites of Dennis as well.

Oh yes, food business seems easy to understand too, so you may want to look at them too...

Share Investment hardcopy book is available at book shops (e.g. Popular), convenient shops (e.g. 7-11) and some newspaper stores. It is published once every two weeks. The price per copy is S$7 (16.6% price increase from previous price of $6).
