Hi Dennis,

Just to let you know that both my wife and I were in your pioneer classes for the "How to save & accumulate 1 million dollars" and "secrets to investing in stocks & property", and we are grateful for your selfless sharing of knowledge. We didn't need anyone to tell us through word of mouth about your sincerity and selflessness, because we could sense it from speaking with you after a previous talk that you gave, hence once we knew you were going to conduct your pioneer classes, we immediately signed up. Till now, we still believe in you and always will.

Hi Dennis,

I really appreciate your sincere & generous sharing all these while after I took the courage to attend all your courses. Your constant sharing in the forum definitely increases our financial knowledge & give us the guidance after we graduated. I now read the forum frequently to increase my financial knowledge & also for self development.

I was almost giving up on investments until u come along and give me the guidance & knowledge for me to continue to pursue investments on the RIGHT path. I guess many pple are reluctant as all have fallen into financial traps or CONNED in 1 way or the other which had held them back like what I previously felt.

Really want to thank you for being a real & true "sifu". I oso bought some of ur books for my relatives to share the financial knowledge which I may not express well especially in Chinese.

You have also educated & invited a few pple who relentlessly contribute to this forum which make it very interesting to read. Thanks to all who share and ask questions.

Bravo to Dennis & everyone :D

Hi Dennis Sifu,

Before attending your seminar, I was an active FOREX trader. Even though I do earn money from FOREX, I spent quite a significant amount of time doing trading after my work and that was quite energy draining. Prior to that, I attended a few FOREX courses and to my disappointment, most of the courses are out to cheat people hard-earn money without imparting the real stuff. Since then, I stopped attending seminars that claim to “teach” people how to earn money or to be rich etc...

It was only when one of my trusted friends recommended your seminar to me, then I decided to attend this free seminar talk, which was conducted by you. To be honest, prior in attending your free seminar talk, I still had that skeptical mindset given my past experiences with those seminars that I had attended.

However, I signed up IMMEDIATELY for the stock, mindset and property courses after listening to your seminar talk. Why?? It was not due to a moment of impulse, but because I can feel the sincerity, your passion and your eagerness in helping others during the two hours talk. For instance, in the midst of your talk, there were some occasions where you raised your volume on some investing discussion because some of the audiences don’t seem to agree with your teaching. I can sense the frustration in you as you probably felt those audiences don't appreciate what you're trying to help them and they cannot accept what you teach..

And now, I’m glad that I have attended your seminar and in fact, I regretted not attending your seminar earlier. The things you have taught me are of great value and I’m still learning from you, and from the forum everyday. I would share my knowledge with my friends who are eager to learn and recommend them to your course.

Knowing you has made a difference in my life for the better and I strongly believe that your course helps other. Don’t give up Sifu. =)

Those who do not want to learn, basically they are at a disadvantage.
Their mindset is still unable to think far. cannot think like a Rich.

Still recalling back the 1st and 2nd meeting, the whole full house of we students are happy to attend to.

Your teaching is practical, compare to those only have theory.

Hi Dennis,

I was there in the workshop yesterday with my guests as well. I had managed to convince my friend for attending all of your seminars, then her hubby had showed the interest to attend it also, as they really think that investing in financial knowledge is the most important investment in life before they really explore into any kind of investment.

I can feel your disappointment after the end of workshop as the most of attendees are just too skeptical & not willing to learn from the rich. But your passion & enthusiasm of teaching others for becoming financial freedom is no doubt always inspire us to share the information or knowledge to friends around us or public.

I sincerely hope you can continue your inspiration & enthusiasm to guide us to the path of millionaire and selflessly share the financial knowledge with us or even to the public. And we, as the seminar graduates, will insist our role to support you behind and share the financial knowledge with all the people as many as we could.

Gambatte, Dennis! Let's have the Japanese "samurai" spirit together to educate the public. Cheers!

Hi Dennis,

The 90% didn't sign up because they don't have the right mindset to be rich and is definitely not interested to be rich, not ready to learn, they thought they already know enough or all of the above!!

Either way, it has nothing to do with you.

You found your passion and purpose in life; don't let people who are not ready to learn deter you from doing what you are sure to be right thing to do!!

Reminds me of the herd instinct. Everyone is just a follower. Juz follow the majority's decision & nothing will go wrong :)

When it is cold, nobody bothers about it.
When it is hot, everyone would want it at whatever cost.

"Sifu" Dennis has taught us well how to handle the above situation when it comes to investing

Hi Dennis,

Please be assured that you have indeed make a difference in my life on fine tunning the right MindSet toward achieving financial freedom and through your selfless relentless sharing in the forum despite your busy schedule on how having the right financial literacy can really help in shaping our life.

Really really appreciate how you have actually sacrifice your valuable precious time to give us the latest insight and sharing from any of your sifu in the forum so that we got the instant benefit.

We strongly believe what you have advocate that "Give More than you Take and the rest Universe will take care"

This is my first posting and I would like to share one of my favourite story (The Starfish Story) to give Dennis Sifu a boost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water.

He came closer still and called out, "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"

The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."

The old man smiled, and said, "I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?"

To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it into the back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There could be many Starfish waiting for Sifu to make the difference in their Life. Hope you can press on and at the same time striking a balance in your journey. Like Liverpool song "You never walk Alone".

Hi Dennis Sifu,

The recent selldown has perhaps affected people's risk appetite to invest in stocks and stocks-related courses. I reckon it could be due to question of timing.

You have done a great job so far - you know it, and so do we.

If this calling was what your heart tells u, then it should be RIGHT.

Well, i guess the art here is how to strike a better life balance... any passionate marathoner would be physically worn down when not well-hydrated.

Like what Cannizzaro said, Thank You and Gambatte Dennis!

thank you all of you. Thank you all of you who have posted, and many more I know are silently supporting...today a graduate Jason New called me and spoke words of encouragement to me...he said his wife wanted to call as well, but at a loss of what to say to me...got him to call instead...

There are others who sent me emails privately, with the same message, asking me to take care, take a rest if necessary, but sincerely hope I do not give up sharing/teaching...

As you might know, I'm a very straight forward guy, I don't know how to hide my feelings, so last night, when I was feeling down and when the words of my "sifu" echoed in my mind, I just wrote down what I was feeling then...

Well, it shows that I'm human too. I can feel down as well, I can feel discouraged as well, I can feel so "mentally tired" that I can be on the verge of giving up as well. I'm sure you have had similar experience before, it may be regarding a different matter or issue though.

However, how can I give up when now you've shown to me that though many might not take action or be ready to learn, ALL of you have taken Action to be on the journey to Financial Freedom, and I've promised that I'll be there to guide and support you along the way, so how can I forsake all of you?

I remembered when I met Alvin Chow in Dec 2008 for the first time, I said to him:"when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." So now it's ironical that Alvin has to remind me this quote today...yes, some of these students may not be ready now, but one day they will, and so will they appear.

And as I said, whenever I'm feeling down, I'll play these 2 songs repeatedly:"I believe I can Fly" and "When You Believe"....and now it is ironical that another graduate Kelly reminds me of the lyrics of the song..."I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky, I think about it every night and day..."

So I remember the lyrics of the other song "When you believe"....

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe...

With all your words as "fuel", I think even rockets can be launched, I found my strength to carry on in all of you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So no matter what setbacks you face in life, no matter how much you feel like giving up, please realise that you're not the only one who feel this sometimes...even Dennis is NOT upbeat all the time, he can feel down just like all of you, what's Crucial is that so far I have not given up...so I hope anyone feel like giving up on something you Believe in and want to Achieve, can have the courage to carry on.

It reminds me of what Winston Churchill said:"Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never, Never give up."

Dennis..

Dont know if the replies so far are enough fuel for your long journey ahead...

In any case, I will add some fuel for you...

There's a saying "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear..."

I really admire you sacrificing your weekends to teach people about their finances... Somehow, I think, due to our ingenious education.. bulk of us came out of school "close minded" or skeptical when something seems almost too good to be true.. ... and many of us think education stops at university or poly.. Our education system left out one of the most impt part.. which is to educate us on our money...

I am not here to criticize our education policy...

I still remember the post you had regarding following your passion... something which u really believe in.. and I'm truly inspired by what you say.. am truly grateful for all the knowledge you have shared with urs gradutes..

I think I am one of the many here in the forum that have attended all your 3 seminars... I dont know how many of them are actually sharing actively in the forum.. Maybe just 20% of them? the 80/20 rule always apply in life...

5/51 might be shy of the 20%.... but as long as one more person benefited from your sharing.. will it be more worthwhile?

Something I must admit... I have been lazy all these while... maybe my desire/hunger... isnt strong enough.. like you shared in your seminars... if your "why" is strong enough..... it will take care of the "how".. But I am not giving up..

I know your "why" is strong.. thats' why you are still here today...

Hope you are all fuel up!

One thing to add which I forgot to mentioned in my previous post.....

This is the one and only forum I visited everyday since I joined (except when I am overseas)

It has become a habit for me to log in whenever i reach home after getting changed. I will again log in the next morning after making a cup of coffee. This has been going for months without me realizing it! Masteryourfinance forum has become part of my life.......

I believe many students here are like me silently learning from the forum though we never post much :)

That's why I encourage you guys to say something so Dennis sifu will know we are always here with him on this learning journey!
