Dear all,
Does anyone know, what’s the actual job detail the Research Analyst from brokerage house do?
As we know knows, they need to prepare equity research reports, Collate data for company and industry reports, Assist research manager with the company’s research activities
Where they find the information on the company & industry to prepare the reports?
Are there specific channels they use to find the information?
Some Research Analyst reports also indicate the stock price. How they compute the stock price? Is it from other Research Analyst report? Basically, they have their other methods to determine the stock price?

Re: Research Analyst job
they have lots of info, the stock broking firm subscribes to Reuters, Bloomberg etc and of course, management of companies would grant interviews and meetings to Research Analysts and sometimes even organise "trips" for research analysts to understand the company's overseas operations.findleowong wrote:Dear all,

They will also be invited to Press Conferences when companies make announcements.
Cheers!
