Tracking Weekly & Monthly Price/Volume Tables

Post by Alina »

Hi Dennis,

Had subscribe to Shareinvestor Standard noted it only provides volume distribution - 1 day, 5 days and 10 days with not much details. Is there any source we can obtain information on volume distribution on weekly and monthly basis.? Noted CIMB trading platform provides information on trading volume and transactions. Not sure if CIMB allows access to these information after opening the account with them or we would need to pay additional charges for its access.

Noted charting system by Bridge Information Services have many different programmes that allow the manipulation of data to show whatever configuration you want on particular stock. Had tried searching about information about this charting system but unable to find it.

Hope you can enlighten me where to get information on volume distribution on weekly and monthly price/volume tables as it help us to identify the invisible hands. Thank you.

Chartnexus provides with the chart on the volume distribution but not on exact volume per day like the one james shared with us on its posting.

Do you have any idea where we can get information shown below on Amtex Engineering so we can calculate perentage shareholdings oin issued capital? Can we get this from CIMB platform for free or would need to pay for the info to get access to these details?

Last Trades Volume Bid Volume Mid Ask Volume
1.000 1 5,000 5,000 0 0
1.010 58 2,686,000 2,062,000 98,000 526,000

I like to share with you what Warren Buffett said:"it is better to be roughly Right, than precisely wrong." (not his exact words, but what he meant).

Personally, I only use shareinvestor.com Charts and other info, and so far, that's enough for me for my investing purpose.
Cheers!

in fact the free Chartnexus has 3 indicators on volume - volume, volume MA and accumulation/distribution. These 3 items is sufficient for info on volume and invisible hands

Many thanks, Dennis, alvin and wintrade for your reply. Manage to find time to look and figure out how to obtain these information from shareinvestor, chartnexis and finance.yahoo. Noted the information I am looking for can be obtained from either of these channels. Estimated volume can be obtained from shareinvestor in volume distribution - 1 day, 5 days and 10 as well as from finance.yahoo. From chartnexis, volume MA & volume we will be able to tell how is the volume moving towards based on the chart though I do not know how to read from the accumulation/distribution chart. There is still along way to learn and have to revise the knowledge taught during the seminar to put it to understanding.
