You will probably discover that many of the things Jim Rogers said, you have probably heard me said similar things before, NOT that I copy him, but basically the Real and Experienced Investors typically share similar investment principles and concepts.

He emphasized the need to Do your Own Homework. He said that most of the times when he loses money is becos he didn't do sufficient homework.

You don't invest in hot trends, but you invest when nobody is interested, you try to identify the Next Trend before others discover it.

That the way to make the most money is when you discover an investment before others.

If you analyse, that is the Gist of what I try to teach in Secrets to Making Money in Stocks Seminar.

He also emphasize that if anyone wants to be successful in anything, they need to be True to Themselves.

It is very Clear from these 3 videos that the Professor Lang Xian Ping does NOT know how to invest, that he has many of the same Misconceptions most people have about investing. So Lang can talk very well when he speaks by himself, but when in a "Live" debate, he shows that what he knows are mainly only theory.

Lang says that China stock market is manipulated. This I have no doubt, but does it mean that then an individual cannot learn how to invest? Cannot learn how to Buy Low, Sell High? Cannot learn how to "see" the invisible hands in the market? Once you learn how to see the invisible hands, you can actually make money along with the Invisible Hands, along with the people who try to manipulate the stock market.

Lang said he does NOT invest into stocks becos he tried investing into stocks and he lost money.

So why do I want to listen to a person to talk about stocks when he lost money in stocks? So my conclusion is do NOT bother to listen to Lang whenever he talks about stocks.

Professor Lang talking about Currency and other stuff, some of the info are still Valid and Correct, but please don't listen to anything he says about stocks.
Cheers!

I watched the video and it is a very interesting one. even the youtube comments about the show host and jim rogers are interesting. Host of the show keeps siding with Jim Rogers (because he's an ang moh) and neglecting the poor professor, who doesn't get much air time to give his views.

Generally, both shared their views about the stock market. If Jim Rogers do his homework and analysis to buy at market bottom, he would make money most of the time for sure. (Upside of the stock he buys in, is much higher than the downside.) While Professor Lang analyses the past trends and major trends of stocks, but did not participate in the action. Personally, I would heed the advice of a fighter in the battlefield who has achieved numerous major victories, than a strategist opinions about how to win in the battlefield.

There's something that Jim Rogers that's making me ponder though. He said that markets tend to bottom in Autumn? Wonder if that's really true.
