Hi Cath,
as there might a next Global Financial Crisis coming, you might want to make sure part of your Portfolio will NOT lose money no matter what happens.

Thus, you might want to consider investing part of your money into UK Traded Endowment, it has Capital Guarantee in the form of the Cash Value of the policy.

Furthermore, if you invest now, you're investing at the Historical Low level of sterling pounds vs S$ (about 2.03). Unlike US$ which has continued to drop, Sterling Pounds has a very strong support at S$2 and has not dropped below this level despite the last 2 years' crisis, including more recent crisis such as Greece Crisis, Ireland, Libya Crisis and the Japan Disaster.

If Sterling pound recover to 2.5 level in a few years, you would make forex gains about 25% as well.

Currently, I own the ONLY company that offers UK Traded Endowment in Singapore (I bought over the company in Oct 2007). For more information, you can go to http://www.TradedEndowment.com or call 6883 2235 or email info@TradedEndowment.com

Even in the worst case scenario of the collapse of UK Insurer, 90% of the Cash Value of the policy is Guaranteed by UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
