To be kiasu, i use EMA for early signal on direction. i also compare it with SMA for more "confirmation".

With silver's free fall from US$40 to US$30 the last few days, do we exit based on the breaking of the key support of US$34 or do we wait to confirm a trend change in silver I.e. 50 day ema cut 200 day ema from abv? Thanks!

Sell based on price cut below 200 day MA is faster response time, but trend price might cut up again, or termed as whipsaw. Sell based on 50 day MA cut below 200 day MA is slower, but more likely of change of overall trend. Each has its pros and con.

Below US$34, Silver's next support level is US$30, so if break below US$30, then maybe more worrying.
